Complaints had been made regarding lorries carrying straw through the village to the burning plant and leaving a trail of mess along the roads. The clerk had contacted the county council to ask property owners in Station Road if they would trim back their trees, as they scrape the top of the lorries. She had also written to the straw burning plant to enquire about their policy for lorries to be sheeted down.
