A member of the Elysian Riding for the Disabled Group has been honoured for more than 35 years of service.
Enid Bedford, from Witchford, has been an instructor and organiser for the group since the 1970s, helping to run sessions for children and adults at the Sedgeway Equestrian Centre and at Paradise Livery Farm.
She was recognised for her service to the Elysian group and for her service to the Riding for the Disabled Association at the East Supra Regional Conference, held in St Ives.
Mrs Bedford said she was delighted with the awards, adding: “Long may the work of the committee and the riding and driving continue”.
The group is looking for volunteers to help run the riding and driving sessions for adults and children. They take place on Tuesday mornings, from 10am-noon. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
