Members of the St Mary’s Monday Club, Ely, welcomed two long serving volunteers with Fenprobe Talking News at their monthly meeting.
Maureen Fresco and Janet Smith have been with the audio news service for the blind and those with impaired sight in East Cambridgeshire for more than 30 years.
They gave a talk about the history and weekly routine of the organisation, which provides the local news from the Ely newspapers in digital format.
Fenprobe is a free service for their listeners, with a free player on which to play the memory sticks.
Anne Marie Barfield, Monday Club chairman, presented Janet and Maureen with a donation to the Fenprobe funds.
The afternoon was rounded off with tea.
For more information about Fenprobe, contact Janet, the secretary, on 01353 861153.
