THERE are long tailbacks on the A142 between Ely and Soham this afternoon after a van got wedged under the rail bridge.
Police were called at about 12.38pm to reports that a van had attempted to go under the Station Road bridge but had become stuck as it tried to drive through.
Officers closed the road in both directions and traffic was diverted onto the overpass, causing long delays in both directions.
Motorists are being urged to use alternative routes while the van is recovered.
