Fashion and textiles students from King’s Ely Senior are preparing for a prestigious exhibition in the capital.

Around a dozen A-Level students will be showcasing their designs and accessories at this year’s Spring Knitting and Stitching Show at London’s Olympia from March 2 to 5.

Director of at at King’s Ely Senior, Alison Rhodes, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and is a valuable experience that contributes to their coursework, UCAS applications and future employment.

“King’s Ely students were invited to exhibit in the Textile Gallery at the show this year which will provide a wealth of useful contacts. Our students will be able to investigate new materials sourced from the show, as well as make contact with professional designers. Links have already been made with The Great British Sewing Bee!”

King’s Ely fashion and textiles students have previously gone on to study at internationally-renowned universities and colleges such as Chelsea, Ravensbourne, Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Royal School of Needlework Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh and Falmouth.
