Two crews attended the fire in Little Downham


A loft caught fire in a house in Little Downham.

The incident happened on Main Street on Friday (July 27) at 6.15pm.

One crew from Ely and another from Chatteris were called to the scene.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue tweeted: “Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the loft space of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 8.55pm.

“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
