Lodestar Festival
Held in Lode, a small village in Cambridgeshire, eight miles to the north-east of Cambridge.
Population - 892.
Lode is best-known as the location for historic Anglesey Abbey and a restored watermill, Lode Mill.
The festival will take place at the 120-acre Sunny Ridge Farm, which is an arable farm, on August 31 to September 2 in front of 30,000 people.

PILTON
Glastonbury Festival
Held in the village of Pilton, six miles east of Glastonbury.
Population - 1030.
Legend has it that Joseph of Arimathea - who is believed to have brought Christianity to Britain - landed in the village in the first century AD when the village was a harbour. The festival takes place during the last weekend of June at Worthy Farm, a dairy farm, in an enclosed area of more than 900 acres.
In 2005, 385 live performances took place in front of an audience of 150,000 people.
