Lyn Gibb-de Swarte, who attended the event, said: “Author John Taylor, who spent many years of his childhood in Littleport, was there to give a talk and sign his best-selling book, ‘I Will Find You’ - which also sold out on the night.

“Hobson’s Voice were in fine voice for the occasion, and the new tune when they sang what has become the Littleport anthem, ‘Men Till the Fields of Littleport’ was greeted with rapturous applause from the packed and appreciative crowd in the village hall.

“This weekend Littleport Society is at The Barn from 10am to 4pm both days, and welcomes visitors to its historic archives and objects of local interest.”
