THE trial of Alex Hughes is ready to go ahead on May 21, Ely magistrates were assured this week.

Hughes, of Fishers Bank, Littleport, has denied harassing Victoria Bradley between December 28 and January 20, putting her in fear of violence.

The court has banned Hughes from contacting Victoria Bradley or going to the Tesco store in Ely as condition of his bail.
