The annual Littleport Rotary Club race night was a run away success thanks to the generosity of village residents despite the economic climate.
Over 150 attended the event which was held at the village hall. Special thanks go to Rotarian Clive Webber and his wife Jo who pulled out all the stops to ensure the event ran like clockwork.
Although there remain a few pledges to be settled up the club has already raised almost £2,500 from the evening’s entertainment, a new record for the club.
This money will be used to support local charities as well as the East Anglian Children’s Hospice and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Plans are already underway to repeat the success next year and the team at Littleport Rotary Club has already started planning for two new and innovative fund raising activities in 2016 which will enhance the monies raised through the clubs more traditional events.
