Pottage was top of the lunch menu at Downham Feoffees Primary School this week as pupils enjoyed a Tudor day
As part of their history project for this term, 30 youngsters from Year 6 swapped their jumpers and trousers for Tudor-style jerkins and cloth hats.
After doing some research and a presentation on what Tudor people would have eaten, pupils were given the chance to chop up some vegetables and try a few helpings of pottage – a popular Tudor dish.
After lunch, the class turned their hand to Tudor dancing and tried out some popular games from the time.
