Hard-working teenagers have received certificates after successfuly completing a life-changing course.
The students recently completed a course entitled Tyro which means 'recruit' in Latin, after they failed to achieve good GCSE results.
The 16 to 18-year-olds studied twice a week at the Lighthhouse Centre in Ely on the course run by Cambridge Regional College and have learned about numeracy and literacy as well as some essential life skills.
Some of the students have already gone on to find employment and others are waiting to take up apprentiships.
Pictured at the Lamb Hotel in Ely with their certificates are: Kayleigh Kerr, Luke Abbs, Daryl Keating, Jamie Palmer and Brett Stevenson along with Cambridge Regional College's director of learning and achievement, Chris Sherwin, and sector leader of Tyro, Brian Sperry.
INFO: The course will run again next term, and anyone interested in finding out more should contact Mr Sperry on 07977 242003.
