A MEETING was held to discuss the options for a permanent library with the village. At the moment a mobile library visits following the closure of the village library in High Street. A library access point could be set up and staffed by volunteers after they had received training from the county council library service. New books would be delivered on a regular basis so that the stock changed constantly. Another option would be for a book cafe, again manned by the volunteers, readers could select from a stock of donated books which again would change on a regular basis.
Both options include not only Sutton residents but also those of nearby villages. volunteers can contact the clerk to Sutton parish council 01353 659997 for further details.
