It begs belief that Sainsbury’s will not have defibrillators in their stores even when paid for by the community.
More than double the lives lost through cardiac arrest could be saved if a defibrillator is used within five minutes.
It is sheer ignorance to think CPR alone can achieve the same result and to put staff in the position of having to carry out CPR with little prospect of success without a defibrillator.
