Christmas came early for the children of Littleport Library last week after staff from Sainsbury’s visited its Lego Club – armed with yet more of the popular children’s toy.
The volunteer-run Lego Club was treated to a visit from members from the store who answered the plea for much-needed Lego, bringing kits and blocks.
The Lego club was primarily set up to help to increase the use of Littleport Library, but has also acted as an entertaining day out for children and adults alike across the town.
Caline Easey, who runs the monthly sessions at the library on Victoria Street, said: “Sainsbury’s very kindly exceeded all expectations and came with more than enough Lego for the kids, which ranged from mini kits to packs of Duplo and Lego blocks. We couldn’t be happier and the children were really happy.”
