The winners of the 2015 Year 5 Maths Challenge had the added honour of being mentioned on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 breakfast show.
The competition was contested between 31 teams from Cambridgeshire schools throughout this term, with the final being held at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.
Overall winners were children from Holywell Primary School in Needingworth, followed by the Lantern Primary School in Ely and Hardwick Primary in third place.
The competition covered a wide range of mathematical skills including estimating, converting between metric measures and problem solving.
