Pupils in Ely celebrated the Royal Wedding in true red, white and blue style as they dressed up in patriotic colours for the day.
The youngsters from King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery and King’s Ely Junior donned fancy hats and accessories for the festivities last Friday.
Sunshine shone over the school garden as the children enjoyed a whole host of Royal-themed games and activities, including ‘Catch the Corgis’, ‘Harry, Harry, Meghan’, and ‘What’s the time Her Majesty?’.
There was also a picnic lunch out in the garden, a visit from Ely Cathedral Girls’ Choir, a cake sale and competition, and a parade of hats where prizes were awarded.
At King’s Ely Junior, a Harry and Meghan photo booth proved popular throughout the day – both with students and staff – plus there were cake baking competitions, Royal-themed poetry and a competition to create a commemorative paper plate fit for the occasion.
