The outstanding achievements of King’s Ely students over the past year were celebrated at an annual senior prizegiving ceremony at Ely Cathedral on Saturday.
The guest speaker was former pupil Fiona Laird, a theatre director and founder of the National Youth Arts Trust.
Alex McGrath, head of King’s Ely, said: “It was wonderful to celebrate the achievements of our prize winners within the context of the whole school’s achievements.
“Our prizes honoured not only the extraordinary academic achievements, but also the many examples of leadership, endeavour and rewards in our extensive sporting and extra-curricular programme.
“At my first King’s prizegiving, I felt a tangible sense of pride as we honoured our pupils and teachers in the awesome surroundings of Ely Cathedral, which forms an inspirational backdrop to our daily life here.”
