WHEN it comes to recycling his garden trimmings and veg peelings, Kevin Jay is top of the pile.

Now the keen recycler from Norfolk Road, Ely has bagged a £100 prize for his efforts.

Kevin bought a discounted compost bin during Compost Awareness Week to transform his grass cuttings and hedge trimmings into soil conditioner to improve his

garden.

As a result, he has won £100 worth of gardening vouchers in a national Golden Bin competition.
