Pupils at Littleport Community Primary School became Irish dancers for a day.
Students from Cottenham Village College - Ruby Cattermole, Kate Oakley and Nerys Morgan – visited the primary school, in Parsons Lane, to demonstrate Irish dancing as part of the school’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The girls spent the day teaching children from Year 1 to Year 6 the moves, jumps, jigs and twirls characteristic of Irish dancers.
They also shared their trophies and medals, and answered questions from children at the end of each session.
Heateacher John Cattermole said: “The whole school was buzzing and there were smiles on everyone’s faces as they joined in and had a go - even some of the teachers joined in. Staff commented on how inspiring and also how patient the three students from Cottenham were.”
