A LITTLEPORT teenager who stole a bunch of pink roses from Waitrose in Ely was jailed for a total of two months on Thursday.
Thomas Gillett, 19, grabbed the flowers as a prank with friends after having a few drinks, city magistrates were told.
Gillett, of Friars Place, was already subject to a one-month suspended sentence imposed last June for an offence of assault.
And he admitted he had breached the terms of the suspended sentence, by missing a community session on his 80-hour work order, and breaching a curfew order. He also admitted failing to turn up at court on April 25.
The court activated the one-month suspended sentence, and gave Gillett another one month of custody for missing court.
