FORMER naval officers, who lost touch with each other 50 years ago, have been reunited after their story appeared in the Ely Standard.
Chief Officer John Cutcliffe launched a search for his second in command, George Craze, believing he lived somewhere in Cambridgeshire.
The pair had served together for a year but lost touch when George left the Navy to take up farming in about 1956.
He married and moved to Great Gransden near St Neots, where he runs a plant nursery.
John, of North Devon said: "It was marvellous to get in touch with George after all these years. He was tickled pink. I'll probably see him in the New Year.
