Students at Ely Sixth Form were given an insight into the work of the region’s ambulance service during a talk from two paramedics.
Paramedic Kim Brady and student paramedic Raistlin Dalby, who both work for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust in Cambridge visited Ely College Sixth Form.
They conducted an interactive lesson on a day in the life of a paramedic and what it takes to join the ambulance service.
They spoke to BTEC level two public services group that aims to prepare students for a career in the uniformed and non-uniformed services.
Kim, a former Ely College student, said: “It was great to return to the college and speak to the students about the work we do and hopefully many of them were inspired to want to become paramedics of the future.”
