Kennett Primary School has received a glowing report from inspectors.
Ofsted rated the school, which converted to an academy in 2012, as good in all areas.
Lead inspector Andrew Read said: “Pupils of all abilities make good progress. Overall standards in reading, writing and mathematics are above average by the end of Year 6.
“The teaching of science was particularly strong and a firm favourite with pupils.”
In order to continue improving, however, Mr Read said work was needed to ensure the most able pupils reach their full potential and he also called for older pupils to learn more about other countries and cultures.
Kennett Primary School is part of the Soham-based Staploe Education Trust.
Lisa Gregory, head teacher, said, “The Ofsted inspector highlighted some areas for improvement and some of the points raised are already being actioned in the school development plan.

“My aim has been to work alongside the staff and parents of our school to create a learning environment where everyone is driven to achieve their goals.”
Chair of governors, Christine Littlewood added: “This good result is down to the hard work and dedication of the head and all staff.”
