PRESIDENT Jenny Axford welcomed members and friends to the October meeting at the Old Dispensary. Debbie Hall, a representative of the Pampered Chef, was the speaker and demonstrator for the evening. With the assistance of audience members a classic chicken ring and pecan pie were made using some of the versatile kitchen utensils on display.
At the short business meeting at the end of the evening, members agreed to have corporate membership of Friends of Jubilee Gardens. A request for members to sing again to the residents at Lily House had been received. It was decided to accept this invitation and a rehearsal would take place at the end of next month's meeting. It was agreed to send £25 to Save the Children in response to their Children of the Middle East Appeal. The date for the charter dinner has been changed to Thursday, February 22 at Needham's Farm Restaurant.
The raffle was won by Pamela Fletcher and Rita Hughes.
