PLANS for 159 homes on the former Littleport School site in Parsons Lane, outlined by Persimmon Homes, have been rejected by East Cambridgeshire District Council's planning committee.
However, an application to build 35 homes in Wisbech Road, Littleport have been given the go-ahead.
The scheme, by housing group Circle Anglia, includes 21 semi-detached and terraced two and three-bedroom homes, 14 one and two-bedroom flats and a new road and landscaping.
It was approved subject to a number of conditions and a Section 106 agreement, which covers open space and community facilities, being entered into with the developer.
