WITCHFORD Village College’s new Press Club for the upcoming year has been revealed.
Membership of this club is exclusively for Year 9 students, all of whom applied to join for this academic year, hoping to follow in the journalistic footsteps of previous members.
The club meets every Tuesday lunch-time to discuss the hot topics of the week. Under the capable hands of editors Joe Gillett and Alex Gordon, the members discuss who will cover each story; photographers and journalists are then assigned. All stories are vetted by the editors before being sent to the Ely Standard or to the college newsletter.
