SCOTT Brimfield, right, gives his support to England by showing off new St George Cross pin badges, which are on sale to raise money for the Milton Hospice.

With the World Cup fast approaching, there is no better way to show your loyalty to the England team - and all the proceeds raised from the sale of the badges will go to Milton Hospice.

Suggested donation is £1.50 and they can be bought from the Ely Standard offices at 38 Market Street, or the hospice itself.

If any businesses or shops in the area would like to order a box of badges to sell, they can contact the East Anglia's Children's Hospice charity on 01223 205180. Please tell them you are raising money for our appeal.

Ely Standard editor Debbie Davies said: "We would urge people to buy these badges to support our campaign. It's a fun way of showing support for England's World Cup campaign, but more importantly it will provide vital funds for the Milton Hospice. Will still need people to sign our petition to put pressure on the Government to provide more funding for children's' hospices. Facilities, like the one at Milton, receive only eight per cent of their funding from Government funds - the rest comes from fund-raising. Please go on-line at: www.cambs24.co.uk"

INFO: If you would like to organise a fund-raising event to raise money for our appeal, contact the Milton Hospice and ask for a fund-raising pack. Then contact us to let us know about the event and we can arrange some publicity. If you want to make a donation to the appeal, cheques should be made out to: East Anglia's Childrens' Hospice. You can send cheques to us or bring them into our reception at 38 Market Street in Ely.
