TWO Littleport women are taking part in charity runs to raise money for good causes.

Kerry Giles-Brown, 34, of Ely Road, Littleport, will be heading down to Bungay on Sunday to take part in a half-marathon in aid of the Milton Hospice.

She decided to take part in memory of Ross Dodman, who was cared for at the hospice before his death. Ross's mother, Amanda Dodman, will be running the Cancer Research UK Race for Life in Thetford in May as a gesture of support for a relative who is suffering from cancer.

Mrs Dodman said: "Kerry started running just a few months ago and it was kind of a bet-come-dare from somebody who promised her to sponsor her if she could do it."

"And if she says she'll do something, she'll do it, come hell or high water - Kerry is determined to beat her best time."

If you would like to sponsor Kerry, you can fill in a sponsorship form at Littleport Leisure Centre.
