Children from St Andrew's School in Soham travelled through 1,000 years of history last week as they performed a new school play for parents and relatives.

More than 40 pupils took part in Around the World in 1,000 Years,

including some Year Seven students from Witchford Village College who returned to the school to perform in the time-travel musical.

Deputy headteacher Pam Cole said: "It started in the time of William the Conqueror and went right up to the present - it was all-singing,

all-dancing."

She said the play also helps pupils to expand their knowledge of history and music. Photo: HELEN DRAKE
