A Littleport care home helped make Christmas extra special for youngsters in need.
Littleport Grange held its Christmas Fayre and staff and residents decided to donate a proportion of the £400 raised to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, a charity which helps life-threatened children, young people and their families.
Staff and residents, along with family and friends, got into the festive spirit with a tombola and a raffle, arts and crafts stalls, and Christmas food and drink.
Around 50 children from the local community were also invited along, and even got the chance to meet Santa and one of his elves.
Littleport Grange acting deputy manager John Broadhead said: “It was a great day and everyone really got into the festive spirit.

“The home is a big part of the community and it’s important to us that we’re active, and get involved with local people and organisations. This is the third event we’ve organised this year.
“An event like this is great for the residents as it gives them something to look forward to, to get involved in, and to think and talk about afterwards.
