EAST Cambridgeshire will be hit by heavy snow in the coming days as the cold snap continues into its second month.
The Met Office warned on Monday (Jan 4) that the district could see several inches of snow over the next few days with conditions set to remain unsettled into the weekend.
Temperatures meanwhile will dip below zero with the mercury set to go as low as -5 overnight on Monday, causing widespread ice on the region's roads.
With children expected to return to school from Monday, many fear that more snow could see a second round of closures similar to those seen in December.
