ON Monday, 31 walkers joined Liz, David and Laurie for the weekly walk. Led by Liz Gwinnett, the walk this week took them from the church down Churchgate Street, Pratt Street, Hall Street across the road to Holmes Lane, over the commons, through the beet field and wheat field, along by the Weatheralls allotments and the new Brewhouse estate, Brewhouse Lane to Paddock Street, along the path by the river into Brook Dam Lane and past the duck pond. Frank Bridge's Close, Sand Street, Walter Gidney Lane, through the college complex and College Road. Clay Street and finally to Saucy Megs for welcome refreshment.
