ON Monday, umbrellas were needed for the weekly walk around Soham. Led by Liz Gwinnett with David Clark and Laurie Budd at the back. The walk took them from the church through the church alley to Clay Street, over to College Road and through the college grounds to Sand Street. Along Fordham Road into King's Parade, The Butts, over Fordham Rad into Tanner's Lane, through The Causeway and past the duck pond, along Paddock Street into Kent's Lane along Stinky Ditch up Ten Bell Lane, over to Guntons Close along the back of West Drive to Gardener's Lane up Clay Street and finally welcome refreshments at Saucey Megs. Seventeen walkers, plus three leaders, walked 2.8miles.
