ON a damp Monday morning, 25 walkers, plus the three leaders, met at the church for the walk, led by Liz Gwinnett with David Clarke and Laurie Budd at the back. The walk this week took them from the church through the church alley and over Clay Street, through College Road and the college complex to Sand Street. Down the Butts, Kings Parade, over to Staples Lane, Brook Street, The Causeway past the duck pond and along brook dam, Brewhouse Lane, Eastern Avenue, Stinky Ditch, Speed Lane, Hall Street, Berrycroft, West Drive, Gardener's Lane, Clay Street and Saucey Megs for refreshments. A total of 2.6miles.
