On Monday, 25 walkers plus two leaders enjoyed a walk of three and half miles. Led by Liz Gwinnett with David Clarke at the back they started from the church at 10.30am and continued along the High Street to Sand Street, Fordham Road, Orchard Road, Military Road, down Centre Road, along Fordham Road, down Regal Lane, Brook Street, The Causeway, Brook Dam, Paddock Street, Market Street and Fountain Lane to the home of Ken and Joan Chapman. Everyone was made very welcome and enjoyed an excellent barbecue lunch with a choice of delicious sweets and a steady supply of wine , soft drinks or tea and coffee. David was celebrating his birthday and was presented with a card signed by the group. Liz thanked Joan and Ken on behalf of everyone for their hospitality and presented them with £85 donated by the group for their special charity. Cambridge Breast Cancer Unit.
