On Monday, 34 people, plus the three leaders, enjoyed a 2.7-mile walk around Soham. With two more ladies joining the group this brings a total to 49 on the register. Led by Liz Gwinnett, with David Clarke and Laurie Budd at the back, the walk this week took them from the church down Fountain Lane to Station Road, along Mereside and through the passageway and West Drive Gardens, Berrycroft, Julius Martin Lane, Martin Close, Townsend and through Foxwood, Hall Street, Speed Lane, along stinky ditch, up Kent's Lane to Paddock Street, Brook Dam and along The Causeway, up Tanners Lane to Sand Street, Clay Street and finally Saucey Megs for welcome refreshments.
