ON Monday, the group celebrated its second anniversary. Starting two years ago with just three on the walk Liz Gwinnett now has 38 on her register. This week, 28-plus the three leaders enjoyed a walk of 2.6miles. Starting from St Andrew's Church at 10am the walk took them down Fountain Lane to West Drive and West Drive Gardens to Berrycroft into Gimbert Road, over Hall Street to Foxwood, Bluebell Walk, Honeysuckle Close and along to Bushel Lane, around Queensway, along the ditches to Eastern Avenue, Brewhouse Lane, Paddock Street, along by the duck pond and through the Causeway estate to Tanners Lane, Sand Street and back through Frank Bridges Close, Brook Dam Lane, High Street, through the churchyard to Clay Street and finally Saucey Megs for welcome refreshments.
