ELY'S historic King's School has broken with tradition and appointed two students to lead the school in the coming year.
In the past the school has always just appointed one student. But this year Duncan Muil and Rebecca East, both 17, will share the responsibility as Head Boy and Head Girl.
Headteacher, Mrs Sue Freestone, said: "The time is right to break with the tradition of having just one head of school and allow two senior students to share the privilege of the role as well as splitting the hard work that goes with it'.
