A cracking Easter fete boosted funds for Little Thetford Pre-School by £650. Visitors tried to guess the name of the Easter chick, picked tickets in the tombola and showed off their artistic skills at a craft stall.

Two winners snapped up the chance to take a hot air balloon flight from the village this summer and youngsters found it hard to pull themselves away from the chocolate fountain.

The cash raised will buy toys and equipment for the pre-school children and help to swell a fund-raising appeal to build a meeting room next to the village hall.
