ON Sunday morning, the harvest praise service at St Leonard s Church was conducted by the Rev Pauline Scott. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers, fruit and vegetables. The church smelt very pleasant for the first time after our recent fire.
ON Sunday morning, the harvest praise service at St Leonard's Church was conducted by the Rev Pauline Scott. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers, fruit and vegetables. The church smelt very pleasant for the first time after our recent fire. The lesson was read by Dorithea Fitzgerald. Members of the congregation presented tokens of wine, bread, fruit, vegetables, flowers, corn, dairy produce and soil for blessing at the altar. The prayers were led by Kath Parr. The theme of the service was to thank God for all good gifts. The collection taken was for harvest for the hungry. The organist was Michael Harrison.
