STRETHAM Community Primary School held its annual Harvest Festival last week. The vicar from St James' Church in the village led prayers in morning assembly. Each class was involved in a different activity to do with the harvest, including drawing and painting, writing poems and much more. Students brought produce into school including flowers, fruit, vegetables and tins of food. This is donated to the nearby Hazel Court retirement home and each resident received a gift of fruit and flowers. The remaining produce was donated to Jimmy's nightshelter in Cambridge.
