‘Harrowing’ assault and burglary leaves elderly Fordham couple ‘extremely shaken’ - police appeal for information

Four masked men entered the home of an elderly couple in Fordham and assaulted them, before fleeing with cash and jewellery in a ‘harrowing ordeal’.

Theives threatened the occupants at Lark Hall Road at 6.30pm on Friday (January 22), leaving a man and woman in their 70’s with minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: “This was a harrowing ordeal for the victims who have been left extremely shaken by the experience.”

Police are keen to speak to anyone with information on the incident or who may have seen a vehicle entering the A142 (Fordham Bypass) between Downfields roundabout and the Fordham Road roundabout shortly before 6.45pm on Friday evening.
