A plea has gone out tonight to find a grey African parrot that slipped from its cage earlier while its owner was passing through Ely.
Its owner Hannah Scalpello arrived by coach from Peterborough en route to Norwich (having had her journey disrupted by the blocked rail line at Queen Adelaide) but the parrot decided to get out at Ely!
Hannah says she was about to give the parrot some water but was distracted for a moment and the bird slipped from its cage.
Anyone who knows where the parrot might be can call our newsdesk on 01354 661915.
