Four members of the youth club, plus one of the youth leaders, were welcomed to the meeting to report on their activities over the first two terms that the club has been running. Sophie Brooks and Michael Gasgoine, chairman of the youth committee, reported on events including a karaoke night, Christmas birthday party, anti-drug workshop, writing rap songs, dance choreography, cooking workshops and a trip to Peterborough Ice Rink. More than 50 people have attended at least once and the usual attendance is 24 each week. Items including two play station consoles and televisions, sing star and buzz games, plus a brand new pool table, have all been purchased for the club.
The next term starts on January 15 and two activities planned are to complete a rap CD and go-karting. The presentation was rounded off with a photo show set to music featuring photos taken during the activities mentioned above. The council thanked everyone for attending and looks forward to another presentation in the future.
