Members of the 1st Haddenham Guides group were given the opportunity to attend national VE Day commemorations in London.
Five members of the group joined about 1,000 veterans, the Prime Minister, David Cameron, and the Queen in Westminster Abbey on May 10 to mark 70 years since Victory in Europe was first celebrated, with a service carried out by the Dean of Westminster.
Caroline Osborne, from the guide group, said: “After a moving service amongst veterans we went on to watch the veterans’ parade at Horse Guards Parade.
“It was a truly magnificent day and we felt lucky and honoured to he part of it.”
