A Haddenham family have been left “genuinely upset” after their “distinctive” Kawasaki KX-60 child’s bike was stolen at the weekend.

The bike was taken from the front garden of a house on Linden End at around 7.30pm on Sunday.

The bike, which is used by the victim’s 13-year-old son, is a bright green mini/child sized scrambler bike without registration plates.

It has bright green mud guards to the front and rear, with a black seat.

“The victim of the theft was at the location for only twenty minutes before an unknown offender removed the bike without permission,” said a police spokesman.

“The owner did not hear the bike being started up, so it is likely that it was either pushed away or put into a van,” the spokesman added.

Detective Constable Rachel McKenzie, the officer investigating the case, said: “This crime has genuinely upset the family who have lost the bike - they are very keen to recover it.

“We believe that the distinctive nature of the bike means that it is likely to be sighted.

“We’ve recently had great success in recovering property following calls from the public.

“Please call us and help us to resolve this crime.”
