The Countryside Access Team has developed a scheme to gate the ends of Aldreth Causeway, Cut Bank (including Dan Bank) through to Chivers and Hillrow to prevent the 4x4 vehicles using them during the winter months. The gates will be locked in winter and open in summer, adjacent farmers will be issued with keys and a space will be left for walkers and horse riders to pass unimpeded.

The poplars at the entrance to Aldreth Causeway will be cleared and levelled and the gate at Willingham end will also be locked. All farmers in the vicinity are in favour of this action plan. The signs for Hinton Hall Footpath will be erected shortly.
