Ely St John’s primary school’s outdoor areas have received a big cash boost.
The school won an award of £200 from the Needham’s Foundation in memory of the late Bernie Parker, who was a well-know gardener and horticulturalist, which will be used to improve the outdoor areas at the school.
Ely City Councillor Sheila Friend-Smith and City of Ely Horticultural Society member Peter Holden were on hand to present the cheque to the school, which has also had a pond and gazebo built thanks to the Needham’s Foundation.
