Competition was fierce as the UK Pinball Cup was contested in Ely for the first time on Sunday.
More than 30 entrants arrived at Bar 62, in Newnham Street, from around the world, including competitors from the USA, Sweden and Australia.
Home favourite Rowan Salger, who helped organise the event, was fancied to go far but was unfortunately knocked out in the second round as the bar was taken over for the day by 12 pinball machines and dozens of spectators.
Winner on the day was Martin Ayub, from Hayes, Middlesex, who enjoyed a favourable final draw to beat Eric Fishers, from Chicago, USA.
A grant total of £627 was raised to be shared between the British Heart Foundation and the homeless charity, Shelter.
Bar62 owner Fiona Talbot, said: “I would like to congratulate the winner and all the competitors for their participation and thank them for their generosity. We plan to invite them back in 2015 when we hope the event will be bigger and better than ever.”
Rowan Salger added: “The competition was a bit fierce but everyone had a great time. I don’t like to make excuses but it was a bit difficult trying to organise and play in the competition at the same time.
“Next year, Im going to put aside more time to get my practice in.”
